1- Shea Moisture African Black Soap Deep Cleansing Shampoo (sulfate free) targeted at people who suffer from dandruff, eczema and psoriasis. I often get patches of flakey areas on my scalp so I thought I’d give this a try. Shea Moisture can be pricey at around £10 but their products are worth it as they’re natural and don’t contain synthetic ingredients. They also do natural skin care products too.

Ingredients:

Deionized Water, Decyl Glucoside (Coconut Oil), African Black Soap, Salicylic Acid, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Seed Oil, Charcoal Powder, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed (Jojoba) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Oil*, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Vitamin E, Rosemary Extract, Plantain Extract, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower (and) Lonicera Japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle) Flower Extract
* Certified Organic Ingredient

2- Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Repair Cream (leave in conditioner) I use this on my hair daily after spritzing it with water in my spray bottle for moisture. I still love my Aunt Jackies Knot on My Watch but this is thicker/heavier and provides my hair with more moisture throughout the cold months.

3- 100% Virgin Coconut Oil. I use this stuff on my hair, on my skin, as a hot oil treatment, for anything really. It’s a great all around use oil with natural anti fungal properties (good for skin and scalp conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, flaky scalp etc). Due to it’s small molecular build it can also penetrate directly into your hair strands working on the inside and out. Organic is always best but I struggle to find it for a decent price so I use an 100% virgin one which is cold pressed and unrefined (hasn’t had all the good stuff taken out of it during the extracting process)

4-  Argan Oil Eco Styler. As mentioned in my “hair products that I avoid” blog post, I stay away from gels such as pink which contain alcohols that dry out your hair resulting in breakage and instead use eco styler gel. You can get eco styler gel in a variety of different ‘flavours’, the two I usually use are the Olive Oil one and this Argan Oil one.

5- ORS edge control is my go to product for slick edges. It does give me build up but I don’t find this a big problem as I wash/co-wash my hair weekly anyway to keep my scalp clean and my pores unclogged providing my hair with a fresh environment to grow in.

6- LA Girl pro conceal concealer in the colour fawn. I love these concealers, they run at around £3 per tube and the fawn one which I use daily to cover any dark areas such as under my eyes lasts me around 3 months. I also brought one a few shades lighter and a few shades darker to highlight and contour which I’ve had for ages. They don’t crease, come in a wide range of complexions, and you can also use them as foundation
